I don't want to come off as a "grammar snob" here, but it is actually a pet peeve of mine that folks over-use the "...and I" phrase (i.e. "Joye and I's grill." or "The grill is for Joye and I."). I understand that the intention is to be grammatically correct, but there are instances in which saying "me" is entirely appropriate.
Here is a quick rule to be sure you're using this phrase correctly. Remove the other person's name and say the sentence back to yourself. Use the word that makes the most sense in context. For example, it wouldn't be appropriate to say "I's grill." or "The grill is for I." The sentence should read, "Joye's and my grill." and, "The grill is for Joye and me."
Suddenly after writing all of this, I've just become hyper aware of my grammar usage. Allow me to say that just because this happens to be a pet peeve of mine doesn't mean that I consider myself a master of the English language by any means. I mean, lets be truthful here, I grew up in the South. In North Carolina. In Mebane. I probably violated at least 2 or 3 grammar laws just trying to explain why the misuse of grammar annoys me. It's just one of those things that bothers me every time I hear it.

I, too. (Or, is it "me, too"?)
As in the shortened form of "I think that, too".
Hmm... It seems us have quite the quandary here.
Jeramie, this is fantastic. As an ex-communications employee, this is a big pet peeve for me as well. About the only one that bothers me more is when people say: "I COULD care less." Nice to know there are other people who pay attention to grammar.
Also, I appreciate the fact that the grill is the subject of your example sentences. I look forward to sharing in its bounty.
